For those new to online banking: click here to get started.
Banking has changed. These days you can access your bank account through a computer or a smartphone app and do self-service banking transactions like transfer money between accounts, check your credit score, pay bills and even start a loan application.
There’s only one area of banking that hasn’t changed—the ATMS. They’re still doing the same single function as they’ve always have, dispensing $20 bills.
That’s why First Alliance is proud to introduce our state-of-the-art Advisor Supported Kiosks. These devices have also been called Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) or Video Teller Machines. Regardless of what you call them, though, they are cutting edge automated bank tellers that will make your banking experience more convenient without losing the personal touch only a human can provide.
Despite their high-tech look, the Advisor Supported Kiosks are actually very easy to use.
You can access your account by contacting a Kiosk Advisor immediately or by using your debit card and PIN the same way you would with an ATM. If you’re using the drive-up lanes at our Rochester, Byron and Stewartville branches, you’ll have the option of either contacting a Kiosk Advisor or using your debit card and PIN to access your accounts.
Once you’ve accessed your account, you’ll be able to select the transaction you want to complete from the main menu screen that appears. If you want to complete a slightly more complex transaction, though, the Kiosk will automatically call up a Kiosk Advisor who will assist you in completing your transaction.
In addition, if you ever feel you need a human to help you with a self-service transaction, just press the ASSIST button at any time and a Kiosk Advisor will be called up through a secure video banking call to support you, right there on the Kiosk. It’s that easy!
If you were to look at an Advisor Supported Kiosk, you’d probably think it’s nothing more impressive than an ATM with a touchscreen. While you’re not wrong, you’ll quickly discover that our kiosks can help you do more self-service banking than an ATM ever could.
Self-Service Transactions that can be completed 24/7/365:
The Kiosk will walk you through each transaction. You can even complete multiple transactions within a single session!
You can also access your account by getting a Kiosk Advisor’s help Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM to Noon. In addition to providing assistance with self-service banking transactions, they can also help you:
f you are trying to complete a self-service transaction and feel you need a human to help you, just push the ASSIST button at any time and an Advisor will be called to support you. No question is ever too big or too small.
Withdrawing and depositing money at an Advisor Supported Kiosk is fast and easy.
You can withdraw up to $1500, in bills of your choice, as a self-service transaction. If you need more than $1500, you’ll need a Kiosk Advisor’s help.
If you want to deposit money, on the other hand, you can add money and checks directly to your account by putting them in the appropriate slot in the Kiosk.
If you need to deposit coins, you will need to use the coin counter in the branch lobby during normal lobby hours. Once the coin counter gives you a receipt, a Member Experience Advisor will deposit the amount into your account for you.
Even the most advanced self-service credit union technology can’t do everything a human being can do.
That’s why our Kiosks also provide you access to a live Advisor at the touch of a button. If you’re stuck on a transaction or need some help that only another human can provide, all you have to do is press the ASSIST button at any time during the transaction and a knowledgeable Kiosk Advisor will appear on the screen, ready to provide personalized assistance with any questions you might have.
While you can complete a wide variety of banking self-service transactions 24/7, our Kiosk Advisors are human and need sleep, thus Advisor Supported Transactions are available Monday—Friday: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays: 8:00 am to Noon.
If you need help using the Kiosks themselves, you can get top notch credit union customer service from our Member Experience Advisors during our normal lobby hours at each location.
Member Experience Advisors can also:
Once you realize how convenient using an Advisor Supported Kiosk is, instead of asking “Is there an ATM near me?” you’ll want to search for a Kiosk at a self-service bank or credit union instead, like First Alliance Credit Union!
Currently, the Advisor Supported Kiosks are located at the following First Alliance Credit Union locations. You’ll be able to use a Kiosk whether you want to go into the lobby or use the Kiosks at the drive through banking lane.

At First Alliance, your financial security is our top priority, which is why our Advisor Supported Kiosks have been engineered to protect your personal information and eliminate many of the tactics criminals use to commit ATM fraud.
Plus, you’ll no longer have to verbalize your account number out loud for everyone else in the lobby to hear. Inserting your debit card into the Kiosk connects you to your account. If you require an Advisor Supported transaction, you’ll be able to key in most information on the private keypad on the Kiosk.
When people hear about how much the Advisor Supported Kiosks can do, this is one of the first questions that comes up. Will the Kiosks replace employees in the self-help credit union online banking model?
First of all—don’t panic. First Alliance Credit Union is not letting go of any of our employees. In fact, we’ve actually been hiring people to fill the new position of Kiosk Advisor. As we mentioned before, even the best self-help credit union technology can’t do everything—or provide the top-notch bank customer service--a human can do!
As for the person-to-person interactions you’re looking for at a branch, they are not going away either. When you visit any of our open lobbies, our Member Experience Advisors will be on hand to help you navigate through important life events, like the best way to save for a wedding, plan for buying a home, or help you consolidate your debt.
